As living standards rise, people are placing increasingly higher demands on mattresses in terms of appearance, functionality, environmental friendliness, and product quality. Today, mattress development is also trending toward three-dimensionality and multi-functionality. Among current technologies, mattresses are generally categorized into spring mattresses, coconut-fiber mattresses, latex mattresses, water mattresses, and air mattresses.
Four-piece bedding set
Among these four types of mattresses, spring mattresses are the most commonly used. A spring mattress features a layer of springs inside, topped with an appropriately selected cushioning layer. However, due to prolonged use, the springs tend to rust and lose their elasticity. Moreover, the overall structure of existing mattresses struggles to meet the needs of various applications, thereby limiting the versatility of current Simmons mattresses. Although there are many mattresses available on the market today, both spring mattresses and pure foam mattresses have fixed firmness levels; if consumers find them uncomfortable after purchasing a home, they have no way to adjust the firmness to their liking.
Given the shortcomings of existing technologies, technicians have developed a four-layer mattress with adjustable firmness. The adjustable-firmness mattress comprises an inflatable bag layer, an inflatable chestnut, and a control device. The control device is installed on the pipeline connecting the inflatable bag layer to the inflatable chestnut and includes an air control valve and an external input response circuit. The external input response circuit is connected separately to both the air control valve and the inflation valve. The external input response circuit controls the operation of the inflatable chestnut. In response to signals from the external input response circuit, the air control valve connects or disconnects the inflatable bag layer from the inflatable chestnut. When the inflatable chestnut is opened, the inflatable bag layer inflates; alternatively, the inflatable bag layer can be connected externally to allow it to deflate; or the communication pipe between the inflatable bag layer and the external environment can be closed, sealing the inflatable bag layer. These mechanisms enable the mattress to adjust its firmness level.
The inflatable bag layer comprises a left airbag and a right airbag. The left and right airbags are each connected to the inflation plunger via pneumatic valves, and these two pneumatic valves are linked to the same external input response circuit. The layer also includes a top sponge, side rail sponges, and a bottom support sponge. The inflatable bag layer is positioned within the space enclosed by the top sponge, the side rail sponges, and the bottom support sponge. The hardness of the top sponge is lower than that of the side rail sponges, and the hardness of the side rail sponges is lower than that of the bottom support sponge. The surface of the bottom support sponge that comes into contact with the inflatable bag layer is arranged in a wavy pattern.
Four strip-shaped protrusions are arranged around the top surface of the left and/or right airbags of the four-piece seat set on the bed, forming a frame-like support. Multiple strip-shaped protrusions are continuously arranged along the width direction within the area enclosed by this frame-like support, thereby creating a seat surface support. The system also includes a handheld remote control device that is wirelessly connected to an external input response circuit. The handheld remote control is used to activate the external input response circuit, send control information to the external input response circuit based on external input data, and receive feedback information from the external input response circuit. The handheld remote control device features a keyboard component or a touch screen for acquiring external input data. The handheld remote control device is equipped with a display screen that shows both external input data and feedback information.
Compared with existing technologies, a mattress with adjustable firmness offers the following benefits: The key advantage of an adjustable-firmness mattress is that consumers can select the desired firmness level according to their personal preferences, thereby achieving optimal comfort. This type of mattress comes in two versions—left and right. When two people lie on the mattress, they can independently adjust the firmness to suit their individual habits.
